2025-2026 Community Event Scholarships
Available for the 2025-2026 Season, We’re excited to kick off the Family Event Access Fund! If cost is preventing your family from enjoying a community event at Camp Newaygo, there are now scholarship funds available to cover part or all of the event registration–while funds last. This project is funded by a grant from the Youth Advisory Committee of the Fremont Area Community Foundation.
Making use of a scholarship is simple and outlined below for our two types of events.
Who Qualifies
Scholarships are available to households with an annual income at or below 120% of the Area Median Income (AMI) for Newaygo County. For example, this means a household of four earning $95,520 or less would qualify.
For Events with on-site, day-of Registration
Many of our community events do not have pre-registration. Families come up the hill, park, and then check-in at the registration station. For these events, you can simply request a partial or full scholarship to cover the cost of registration. Staff will just need to take down where you are from and a range of your household income to provide the scholarship for admission. Eligible on-site/day-of registration events for the 2025-2026 season include:
- Costumes and Campfires | October 25-26
- Santa and S’mores | December 6 & 7
- Spring Adventure Days | May 16 & 17
Scholarships for each event will be first come, first served. Unfortunately, due to the operations of the community festivals, staff will not be able to reply to calls or emails about scholarship availability. If funds are depleted, updates will be posted on Camp Newaygo’s social media.
For Events with Advanced Registration Required
Other events and add-on experiences require advanced registration. For these events, can visit each event’s page for more details. If you are interested in a scholarship, you can call 231-652-1184 or email campbiz@campnewaygo.org to request one once registration has opened for the event. Staff will just need to take down where you are from and a range of your household income to register you under for a scholarship. You must have received an emailed confirmation to be sure your registration has gone through. Eligible advanced registration events for the 2025-2026 season include:
- Trick-or-Trot 5K | October 25
- Gingerbread House Make & Take | December 6
- Dad and Daughter Dance | February 14 & 15
- Dinner Before the Dance | February 14 & 15
- Zipline Canopy Tour | May 16
Scholarships advanced registration events will be first come, first served. If funds are depleted, updates will be posted on Camp Newaygo’s social media.
