Volunteer

Volunteering is one of the many great ways to support Camp Newaygo. We are always looking for volunteers to help in a variety of areas. Whether you have a specific skill or are just looking to lend a hand, we have volunteer days or on-going roles that will be a great fit for you!

COVID-19 Volunteer Guidelines

To help ensure the health and safety of everyone, we are asking each volunteer to be fully vaccinated, and to follow these guidelines:

  • DO NOT volunteer for any activity if in the last 14 days you have:
    •  Traveled by plane internationally
    • Been on a cruise
    • Been to an event where more than 250 people attended without social distancing
    • If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19
  • Before you leave your home, please take your temperature. If you have a reading higher than 99.4 degrees Fahrenheit, please stay home.
  • Please wear a mask whenever you are in indoor common spaces (bathrooms, program spaces being used by a group) We have several styles available, or you are welcome to bring your own.
  • Upon arrival, complete a health screening with the Camp Nurse (during the summer) or at the office including a temperature check and symptom questionnaire.
  • After arriving, please wash your hands. Wash whenever needed throughout your shift, such as after using the bathroom, touching your face or hair, eating or drinking, or after taking out the garbage.
  • All volunteers are encouraged to wear face masks when in public indoor places and to isolate yourself if you begin to feel unwell.

We thank you for your flexibility and support in keeping Camp Newaygo a healthy space for all to work & volunteer.
