A Year-Round Independent Non-Profit Summer Camp

Camp Newaygo, a program of TrueNorth Community Services, sits on 104 acres of land along a chain of lakes in the Manistee National Forest Region of mid-western Michigan.

Camp Newaygo is a year-round program, conference, and retreat facility. Our Girls’ Overnight Camp was founded in 1926. We offer summer programs, year-round rentals, community events, and innovative family programs on our beautiful 104 acres.

Our facilities and programs are accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA) and the State of Michigan.

To receive the ACA accreditation, Camp Newaygo agrees to operate by meeting or exceeding more than 300 industry standards for summer camps. Camping professionals around the country have established these standards based on long standing best practices. As an ACA-accredited camp, Camp Newaygo also undergoes a thorough, on-site review of its operations, health and safety practices, hiring procedures, and program design.

Camp Newaygo is a TrueNorth community service.

The parent organization of Camp Newaygo, TrueNorth Community Services is a private, not-for-profit, community-based human services agency located in Fremont, Michigan. TrueNorth provides more than 80 programs and services. Visit TrueNorth’s website www.truenorthservices.org.
