PLanned ACtivity Details

High Ropes Challenges: Camp’s new rock wall features four different sides and multiple climbing routes for challenging climbers new and more seasoned. Looking for more of a thrill? Don’t miss flying through the air on the Zipline Loop. Zip out to the bridge, perched in the trees, switch lines and fly back!

Pontoon Boat Rides: snag a seat on Camp’s pontoon boat to enjoy a ride around Pickerel Lake. Enjoy the changing seasons and even catch a bit of the end of the beautiful fall foliage. While you wait for a ride or after you return, enjoy warming up at a roaring lakeside campfire.

Trolley Rides: another way to take in the sights! Camp’s open air trolley has the feel of a classic fall hayride but swaps the pokey haybales for comfy benches. As you ride along, our tour guide will have some great stories, fun songs, and even a corny pun or two for you to enjoy.  Pro-tip, sign up for a trolley ride when you arrive–these fill up quick!

Archery: it wouldn’t be a trip to camp, no matter the season, without a stop at the archery range. It will be all decked out with spooky targets to shoot for and, of course, a campfire to keep toasty near while you wait to shoot.

Pumpkin Painting: every visit to Camp Newaygo features the chance to be creative. At Costumes and Campfires, we will have a full pumpkin patch for you to choose from and paint for your front porch. Pumpkin painting is a great place to start your visit so it has time to dry before loading up your car.

Campfire Treat and Cider: cook up something delicious over the campfire and try your hand at running an antique cider press. Fresh pressed cider and a campfire treat are complimentary and included with admission.

Concessions for Sale: looking for a heartier snack or meal while visiting Camp Newaygo? Our Ridge Catering team will have a variety of family friendly concessions offerings for you–including a sneak peak at some baked goods you can order from us throughout the holiday season.

We can’t wait to see you out at Camp Newaygo for Costumes and Campfires! For more information, questions, or inquiries about large group discounts (20+ people), contact Camp at 231-652-1184 or email us at campbiz@campnewaygo.org
