Flygirls’ Getaway

Coming October 2022

Flygirls’ Getaway is a women-only fun and interactive immersion into the sport of fly fishing for every level – from the total beginner to the most experienced angler.

Learn the art of fly casting from friendly experts, then put your skills to the test on the pristine Muskegon River with one guide for every two participants. Paddle the chain of lakes that surround Camp Newaygo. Take a class in fly tying. Hike the winding trails and boardwalks of The Wetland Trail. Enjoy an interactive cooking demonstration. Unwind at the end of the day by the campfire with a glass of wine.

Truly unique and tailor-made for women, you’ll learn, relax, make new friends and share laughs along the way. It’s an authentic Michigan adventure unlike any other.

For those of you who might be a little nervous to try fly fishing and have never fished before, you’d be surprised at how well you’ll do. The finesse of a woman is hard to beat!

What guests say:

“This is my 1st time here and my Girlfriends and I enjoyed every single minute of it. We did so many activities, (some we have never done before) in the 2 days and felt we were not pressured to do anything. We could do as little, as much or nothing at all. The chef made the best food & plenty of it. The staff was friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. The activities were plentiful!!! There were plenty of dorms, bathrooms & showers!! If you want a fun filled adventure weekend or a relaxation weekend then you found the right place.” – Charmaine Beach

“We just got home from “Girlfriend’s Getaway Weekend” and it was so much fun. Lots of laughs and fun!! The dorms and facilities were clean and comfortable and the food was great. The staff was outgoing, friendly and truly seamed to love their job, they made sure everyone had everything they needed. Shout out to Christa for the almost private jewelry class, my tree necklace is my favorite take away. I highly recommend coming Camp Newaygo and can’t wait to come back!” – Kristi Brewster
